How to Download Pinterest Videos and Full-Size Images
Copy the pin link, paste it into fastsaver.io, hit download. Videos come as mp4 and images at full resolution, not the small copy from the grid. The steps are on the Pinterest downloader page; this post covers what they leave out.
why grid saves look blurry
Pinterest keeps several sizes of every image and shows small ones in the feed. Long-pressing a pin, or screenshotting it, captures that small copy. fastsaver pulls the original file, so zooming into a knitting chart does not turn it to mush. It cannot invent pixels though: a small upload stays small.
which link works
Open one pin so it fills the screen, then copy. Short pin.it links from the app work like full pinterest.com URLs. Board, profile and search links show “pinterest detected” but fail, because they are not one pin.
what you get
A picture pin gives you “download image”, a video pin “download video”. A pin with several pages comes back as a grid; tap each item to save it. There is no audio option.
when it fails
- Secret boards, private pins and deleted pins. If Pinterest asks you to log in first, it cannot be fetched.

- Yes. The short link from the app’s share button works the same as a full pinterest.com URL.
- Can I download a whole board at once?
- No. There are no batch downloads, so saving a board means copying each pin link one at a time.
- Why is my downloaded image still small?
- The pinner uploaded a small image. fastsaver returns the original file and cannot add pixels that were never there.
