how to download from Instagram
- Copy the Instagram link. In the Instagram app or on instagram.com, open a public Reel, feed video, or photo post, tap the share icon, and choose Copy Link.

Instagram is built for scrolling, not saving. When a Reel deserves a permanent spot in your camera roll — a recipe you actually plan to cook, your own post whose original file you lost, or a friend's video they asked you to keep — FastSaver turns any public Instagram link into a real file. It handles Reels, feed videos, and photos, and photos come through at their full original resolution rather than as a compressed screenshot.

Two honest limitations: FastSaver only works with public posts, and it does not support Instagram Stories — if a tool claims otherwise, be skeptical. Do private accounts work?
No. Only public posts can be reached. Private or removed content can’t be downloaded.
Do I need to log in?
Never. FastSaver works without an Instagram account or any sign-in.
Can I save just the audio from an Instagram Reel as an MP3?
Not with FastSaver. The audio-only MP3 toggle is available for TikTok and YouTube, but Instagram downloads always come through as the full video or photo. If the same sound exists as a TikTok or YouTube video, you can save the MP3 from there instead.
Why can't I download Instagram Stories with FastSaver?
FastSaver does not support Instagram Stories. It works with public Reels, feed videos, and photos only, so pasting a Story link will not return a download.
Where does a downloaded Reel end up on my iPhone?
In Safari the file lands in the Files app — look for the download arrow near the address bar. From Files, open the video and use the Share sheet to save it to your Photos library. On Android and desktop, downloads go straight to your Downloads folder.
Is it legal to save Instagram Reels for offline viewing?
It depends on what you save and how you use it. Keeping your own posts, openly licensed media, or content you have permission to save for personal, offline viewing is generally fine. Reposting someone else's work or using it commercially without permission is not. Always respect creators and Instagram's terms of service.
